Description
This is Amendment No. 001 to the solicitation. The purpose of Amendment No. 001 is to respond to questions submitted in response to the solicitation. See below. 1. Question #1: Please clarify: Two (2) Newall C80 2 Axis Digtal Readout with 12"and 80" Scales Mounted on Lathe. Is the requirement for one DRO with two scales or do you require two separate DROs? Response #1: As specified in the solicitation the BEP requires the Contractor to provide either two (2) Newall C80 2 Axis Digital Readouts, each with 12"and 80" Scales mounted on Lathe or two (2) of an "equal" item. 2. Question #2: The lathe we offered has one DRO with two scales. Is this correct? Response #2: See response to question #1 above. 3. Question #3: If "Two" DROs are required, is the second DRO to be shipped with the order, not installed? Response #3: The second digital readout can be shipped with the order. 4. Question #4: The written spec needs correction; Spindle thru hole on this model Lathe is 4.09" not the 4.90" as written. Response #4: In all instances where "4.90" spindle bore" is stated in the solicitation Offerors are to use "4.09 spindle bore" instead. 5. Question #5: Does the BEP require a DA or CA Aloris Model? Response #5: As specified in the solicitation the BEP requires a "CA" or "equal". 4. Question #6: No chuck was specified, is this correct? Response #6: Correct, the BEP does not require chucks to be provided. All other terms and conditions of the solicitation remain the same.
