Description

B&W Y-12, L.L.C., (hereafter know as "Y-12"; for additional company information go to www.y12.doe.gov), acting under its Prime Contract No. DE-AC05-00OR22800 with the United States Department of Energy/National Nuclear Security Administration (DOE/NNSA), is soliciting an Expression of Interest (EOI) for an on-site Concrete Batch Plant inclusive of engineering, permitting, procurement, construction, and other work necessary for facilities capable of producing approximately 200,000 cubic yards of ready-mix concrete meeting NQA-1 requirements. The subcontractor shall furnish, erect, and obtain National Ready-Mix Concrete Association certification for the batch plant(s) required for producing concrete. The facility shall be capable of producing and delivering 300 cubic yards per hour of various concrete mixtures on a continuous basis working up to two shifts per day. To provide the capability to sustain these pour rates, the subcontractor will provide, as a minimum, one 300 cubic yard per hour batch plant and a secondary 175 cubic yard per hour batch plant. The subcontractor shall also provide concrete paving mixing trucks to transport the ready-mix concrete from the batch plant to the site of the placements.
