- The US Army Corps of Engineers, Walla Walla District is seeking small business sources for a construction project entitled, Lucky Peak Chip Seal and Striping. This will be a firm-fixed-price contract. Place of performance is Lucky Peak Dam, Boise, Idaho. Construction magnitude is between $25,000 and $100,000. 100% alternative payment protections will be required, pursuant to FAR 28.102-1(b). This project consists generally of two parts: 1) application of a typical Type A Seal Coat ("chip seal") to approximately 7,000 linear feet (175,000 square feet) of two-lane roadway, and paint striping that roadway following application, and 2) applying bituminous parking lot sealer to approximately 284,550 square feet of boat ramp launch and parking areas, and striping and arrowing such areas following sealer application. The work includes all necessary preparation and follow-up (for example, mechanical cleaning, vacuuming, crack sealing, chip brooming) to ensure maximum adhesion and durability of treatments. Only those firms who respond to this announcement by submitting a statement of their current or past technical experience (what the firm has done) and current or past performance (how well the firm did it) similar to or the same as the requirements stated above, will be used in the determination of whether to set aside this requirement or open it to unrestricted competition.
