Description
THIS ACTION IS BEING ADVERTISED AS AN 8(A) SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE. PROJECT DETAILS: This project will consist of grading, drainage and asphalt surfacing of 1.9 miles of roadway and campground loop on NM PRA BAND 200(1) Juniper Campground, at Bandelier National Monument, Los Alamos County, New Mexico. This project will also consist of asphalt surfacing and drainage improvements on 4.69 miles of roadway on NM BLM 1011(1), Tent Rocks Road, at Tent Rocks National Monument, Sandoval County, New Mexico. The estimated price range is between $2,000,000 and $3,000,000. The Juniper Campground is within Bandelier National Monument, which is located approximately 20 miles southwest of Espanola. Principal work items include: 3,800 tons of asphalt pavement, 23,000 square yards of roadway reconditioning, 1,100 tons of aggregate base, 2,200 square yards of concrete pavement, 3,700 linear feet of stone masonry wall, 1,400 linear feet of sewer line removal and replacement, 1,300 cubic yards of roadway excavation, 2,900 linear feet of ditch excavation, 150 feet of pipe culvert, and 2,600 square yards of roadway obliteration. Tent Rocks Road is currently a 2 lane gravel road that begins in Pueblo De Cochiti and ends at Tent Rocks National Monument. Tent Rocks Road is approximately 40 miles southwest of Santa Fe. Principle work items include: 12,000 tons of asphalt pavement, 7,500 tons of aggregate base, 300 square yards of concrete low water crossings, and 40 cubic yards of concrete cutoff walls. Tentative advertisement date is March 23, 2010 with a bid opening date of April 23, 2010. Competion of the project is expected to be within one season. One or more of the items under this acquisition is subject to World Trade Organization Government Procurement Agreement and Free Trade Agreements.
