- 68GASEOUS AND LIQUID HELIUM RFP VA263-10-RP-0132 PRE-SOLICITATION SYNOPSIS THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS! Do not contact the POC for solicitation documents. The solicitation documents will be publicly posted on FedBizOpps at www.fbo.gov as outlined below. After the solicitation documents are post you may e-mail questions to the POC below. The VA Minneapolis Contracting Office, on behalf of the Brain Sciences Center, VA Medical Center, Minneapolis, MN intends to award to one or more Small Business concerns a contract for gaseous and liquid helium, in accordance with the Schedule in solicitation RFP VA263-10-RP-0132. This contract will be for a base period (ending 9/30/2010) and four option years. Estimated annual requirements DO NOT meet or exceed the major helium requirement threshold established in the Helium Act (50 U.S.C. 167, et seq.) Gaseous Helium - HE USP 200 - est. 1,600 standard cubic feet (scf). Liquid Helium - HE LT 100 - est. 4,800 liters SEE Schedule for details NIACS: 325120 1,000 employees or 424690 100 employees. SOLICITATION DOCUMENTS AVAILABLE NO LATER THAN MARCH 15, 2010 WITH OFFERS DUE ON OR BEFORE 4:30 P.M. CT, THURSDAY, APRIL 15, 2010. Contract effective date estimated to be April 30, 2010 through September 30, 2010, with 4 option years. The Government may award to one or more offerors at its discretion and without discussions. This is a Small Business (SB) set-aside. Any SB who can respond to this requirement is encouraged to do so. This will be a Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) selection wherein the Staff of the Minneapolis VA Medical Center will make the final determination. Their decision on which offeror(s) provide the appropriate commodity is final. Written documents must be submitted; electronic or faxed responses will NOT be accepted.
