Description
CDRL DD Form 1423-1 DD Form 1423-1 CDRL DD Form 1423-1 PWS This is notice of intent that WR-ALC anticipates issuing an engineering services requirement to identify a replacement material for the obsolete materials used to build and repair damaged areas of the B-2 Bomber's Smart Bomb Rack Assembly (SBRA) cables. The cabling on the SBRA consist of two designs of cables that provide data and power signals encased in special neoprene casing with either molded or boots over the back shells of the connectors. The cables have special design features that allow flexibility, protection from the environmental conditions, and control Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) and Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP) protection for the control system of the SBRA system. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source, The Boeing Company, CAGE Code: 81205. Statutory Authority: 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c ) (1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. Period of Performance: Date of award through 12 months. All responsible sources may submit a response which, if timely received, shall be considered. Only written, faxed, or electronic responses received directly from the requestor are acceptable. No telephone requests. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. However, all proposals received within forty-five days (thirty days if award is issued under an existing basic ordering agreement) after publication of this synopsis will be considered by the government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. All potential offerors should contact the buyer/PCO identified above for additional information and/or to communicate concerns if any, regarding this acquisition.
