- Description
- The Marine Corps Systems Command Pre-Solicitation Notice, dated 24 Feb 2010, Solicitation Number M6785410R1012, is hereby deleted in its entirety and replaced with the following: This synopsis is for information and planning purposes only. It does not constitute an IFB or RFP, and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. No costs will be paid for any costs incurred or assumed in response to this pre-solicitation notice. This is a synopsis of a proposed contract action as required by FAR 5.2. Marine Corps Systems Command intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for a research and development (R&D) contract for the enhancement of the currently fielded M1014 shotgun. The Government may make multiple awards as a result of source selection. The expected RFP release date will be on or about March or April of 2010. This proposed contract action will be Unrestricted. The contract type anticipated by the Government is cost reimbursement and will seek to determine a solution to the current M1014's inability to cycle less than lethal rounds without the aid of a charging handle. Offerors must have an acceptable cost accounting system as determined by the Defense Contract Management Agency or Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCMA/DCAA). Proof of this will be required at the time of proposal submission. Offerors must also have a property management system that is in compliance with the contractual requirements as determined by the Defense Contract Management Agency. The anticipated period of performance is 365 days, with no option years. The proposed North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 332994, with a small business standard size of 1,000 employees. Potential offerors should monitor FEDBIZOPPS for the official release of the RFP package.
