- Description
- The Federal Correctional Institution, Marianna, Florida is soliciting a contractor to provide Optometry Services. These services are to be performed on federal inmates within a secure correctional environment. This will be an indefinite delivery/requirements contract with a firm-fixed unit price. The award will be made to the responsible company or individual who submits the most advantages quote to the government. The government may make awards without discussions; therefore, offerors are instructed to submit their best offer. The resulting contract will consist of a base period, not exceed twelve months and two(2) twelve(12) month option periods to be exercised at the sole discretion of the government. The number of one hour sessions is estimated at 80 for the base year depending on the actual date of award and the availability of funds. Sessions are to be performed between the hours of 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The solicitation will be available on or about March 5, 2010 and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration's Federal Business Opportunities website at http://www.fbo.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be distributed. All future information regarding this acquisition, including amendments, will be distributed solely through this website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure they have the most up-to-date information about this solicitation. The NAICS code for this requirement is 621320. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations have the right to submit quotes equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. All contractors doing business with the Federal Government must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database at www.ccr.gov. This requirement is a 100% set-a-side for small business.
