Description

Contractor shall furnish all labor, management, tools, equipment, vehicles, fuel, materials and supplies as well as perform all work necessary for the degradation and reconstruction of a levee and floodwall system approximately 1.7 miles long with an approximate location of left descending bank of the Des Moines River from McHenry and Riverview Parks (Oak Park Avenue & 9th Street) downstream to Birdland Park (vicinity of Guthrie Avenue and Saylor Road). The project scope of work includes degradation and reconstruction, including gates, gatewells, gravity outlets, road raise, multipurpose trail, utility removals and relocation coordination, removal and construction of new structures and facilities, bank protection, and other associated appurtenances. PLACES OF PERFORMANCE Des Moines, Iowa 50309 The estimated price range of the project is $5,000,000 to 10,000,000. The NAICS Code for this project is 237990 with a Small Business Size Standard of $33.5 MILLION. The solicitation documents will be posted to www.fbo.gov on or about January 21, 2010. No Fax Bids will be accepted. An Amendment will be issued for this project and the bid due date will be moved back to March 12, 2010 at 2:00 pm.
