Description
GOVERNMENT REQUEST FOR INFORMATION - THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. The Naval Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technology Division (NAVEODTECHDIV), Indian Head, Maryland is requesting information on commercially available autonomous mission planner software modules that perform mission goal-oriented, dynamic, automated re-planning of single and multiple Unmanned Underwater Vehicle (UUV) behaviors. Submissions must reflect systems designs that are interoperable with REMUS-based mission planners and the Common Operator Interface Navy (COIN) for tactical mission planning of MK 18 UUV systems. The module must be capable of integrating automatic target recognition (ATR) capabilities to provide single or multiple UUVs operating cooperatively to use commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) sensor inputs from UUVs to aid in decision making and dynamic mission, automated re-planning to improve overall mission efficiency and effectiveness. The module must also provide sufficient machine intelligence so as to relieve operators of the burden of scripting missions in the pre-mission planning mode, thereby reducing operator error and improving overall system reliability. Performance description information is sought in the form of brochures, specifications sheets, and company points of contact. Any information available on demonstrated or expected performance and estimated unit cost is also desired. Also of interest are systems which are currently in advanced stages of development which are planned to become commercially available in the 2011 time frame. Please note the expected availability date on these submissions. Design proposals requiring developmental funding are not of interest at this time. Deadline for submission is 28 March 2010. Questions regarding this solicitation may be directed to the above POC.
