- THE UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT SEEKS TO ACQUIRE A SITE IN LANCASTER, PENNSYLVANIA Public notice is given that the United States General Services Administration (GSA) will conduct an investigation of possible sites to be used for the construction of a United States Courthouse in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. As part of this investigation, GSA hereby solicits expressions of interest to purchase property or donation of a site to the United States of America. A minimum contiguous site of 1.5 to 2 acres and with dimensions similar to 185 feet by 300 feet is required within the following delineated area: An area bounded by the corner of Strawberry and Mulberry; Mulberry to Harrisburg Pike; Dillerville Road to the Amtrak railroad lines to Lime Street; Lime to Church Street, to Farnum Street and back to Strawberry Street Owners of parcels aggregating less than the size of the site specified, but to which abutting parcels may be added to produce a site of the required size, are encouraged to offer such properties for inspection. Sites that may be donated to the Federal Government are solicited, as well as sites, which are for sale. Offers of a no-cost option to purchase property or for a donation of a site should be submitted in letter form and include an accurate description, a comprehensive site plan and an area map which clearly indicates the location of the offered site. Offers are requested by March 25 th, 2010. Owners may submit their own proposals. Proposals submitted by agents must be accompanied by documentary evidence of the agent's authority to make such offers. This is to advise persons submitting offers, that due to procedural regulations under certain laws, options should remain open through October 31, 2010. The Government will make every effort to expedite the site selection. This advertisement is not a basis for negotiation, and the right is hereby reserved as the interest of the Government may require, rejecting any or all offers and give consideration to sites other than those offered in response to this advertisement.
