Description
The Naval Air Systems Command Aircraft Division (NAVAIR-AD) Navy Oil Analysis Program Manager in Pensacola FL has a requirement for: Provision of 60 thin film multi element standards. The standards shall be 47 mm in diameter, applied to a 6.2 Mylar polyester film and mounted on a plastic ring and encapsulated with a 2 mil Mylar laminating film. The mount shall be applied so that the metallic elements are applied to the surface away from the plastic ring. The standards shall include the following elements: Aluminum (A1) 30 micrograms/square centimeter (ug/cm2), Molybdenum Oxide (MoO3)10ug/cm2, Silver (Ag)ug/cm2, Vanadium (V) ug/cm2, Iron (Fe) ug/cm2, and Gold (Au) ug/cm2. All elements shall be detected using a Gastops FilterCheck 400 X-ray analysis system. Provisions of 60 ZincTelluride (ZnTe) 100 microgram/square centimeter thin film standards. The standards shall be 47 mm in diameter, applied to a 6.2 Mylar polyester film and mounted on a plastic ring then encapsulated with a 2 mil Mylar laminating film. The mount shall be applied so that the metallic elements are applied to the surface away from the plastic ring. Micromatter, a division of Advanced Applied Physics Solutions is the only known contractor that can provide this specific standards of calibration. NAVAIR-AD intends to negotiate soley with Micromatter with an anticipated award date of March 12th and delivery date of April 15, 2010 to Pensacola FL. All responsible sources may submit a capabilities statement, which shall be considered by the agency. The Government solely for the purpose of deterimining whether to initiate a competitive procurement will consider all capabilities statements received. Technical capability will be determined solely on the content and metit of the information submitted in response to this provision. Therefore, it is incumbent on the interested party to provide sufficient technical literature, documentation, etc. inorder for the Government to make an adequate technical assessment. The Government reserves the right to process the procuremen ton a sole source basis for the brand specific item based upon the reponses received. The Government will not pay for any information received. Inspection and Acceptance shall be at destination. Offerors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to submissions of an offer to be considered for award of any DOD Contract. This may be accomplished electronically at http://www.ccr.gov/vendor.cfm.
