Description
This is a SOURCES SOUGHT notice. Please note that this is not a request for SF330's or proposals, the Government is seeking information for market research purposes only. The Government may or may not issue solicitation documents. The Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center (RLR VAMC), Indianapolis, IN, is conducting a market survey for qualified small businesses (1) Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB): (2) 8(a) contractors, (3) HUBZone Small Businesses, that are capable of providing the required A/E services outlined below for the VA Northern Indiana Health Care System located in Marion, Indiana. Applicable NAICS code is 541330 size standard $4.5 million. Description of work to be performed includes: The Architect/Engineer A/E firm shall provide all tools, equipment, material, labor and supervision necessary to accomplish, prepare, and furnish design drawings, specifications, construction documents, and detailed cost estimates. This project consists of; Remove eight (8) existing 30,000 gallon steel single walled underground fuel oil storage tanks and ancillary equipment, dispose of and remediate the site. Install two (2) new 15,000 gallon underground fiberglass double walled fuel oil storage tanks used to provide back-up for three existing boilers. Install one (1) new above ground fiberglass double walled diesel storage tank to be used for an existing emergency engine generator. The size to be determined based on generator equipment load and run time requirements. Remove one (1) existing long abandoned emergency engine generator, concrete pad, metal enclosure and abandoned piping. Install one (1) new above ground 5,000 gallon fueling station for E85 gasoline and one (1) new above ground 5,000 gallon fueling station for diesel fuel. Remove one (1) 10,000 gallon underground diesel fuel storage tank and ancillary equipment, dispose of and remediate the site. The design is to meet all current US Federal Government and State of Indiana rules, regulations, laws, etc. concerning such work. A/E firm shall also provide Construction Period Services to include site visits. The design completion period is 120 calendar days from receipt of the Notice to Proceed. Prospective SDVSOB firms are reminded that in accordance with VA Acquisition Regulation (VAAR) 852.219-10, at least 50 percent of the cost of personnel for contract performance of the contract shall be spent for employees of the SDVOSB concern or employees of other eligible service-disabled veteran-owned small business concerns. All responses to this notice must identify the social economic category of the respondent, name and address of company, name and phone number of contact person, and the company's DUNS number. Responses to this notice must be submitted in writing (email or fax is acceptable) and received no later than March 15, 2010. No telephone inquires will be accepted. All responses to this notice must identify the social economic category (Service Disabled Veteran Owned, 8a, Hub Zone) of the respondent, name and address of company, name and phone number of contact person, and the company's DUNS number. The Government is under no obligation to award a contract as a result of this sources sought announcement. Interested firms will be required to respond to additional announcements separately from this announcement without further notice from the Government when posted to http://www.fbo.gov.
