Description
RECOVERY - PER FAR 5.7 THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY; THEREFORE FAR 5.203 DOES NOT APPLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO CONTRACTOR(S) UNDER THE CURRENT CONTRACT NUMBER(S): N/A THE SEATTLE DISTRICT CORPS OF ENGINEERS HAS A COMPETITIVE REQUIREMENT FOR AN ELWHA RIVER LEVEE MODIFICATION IN PORT ANGELES, WA. THIS IS AN AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT (ARRA) PROCUREMENT. The Small Business Administration has made a determination that this procurement shall proceed as a SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 237990 Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction. For the purposes of this procurement, a concern is considered a small business if its annual average gross revenue, taken for the last 3 fiscal years, does not exceed $33.5 million. Pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), the solicitation will be available for download no earlier than 15 days following the posting of this synopsis. Pursuant to FAR, the response date of the solicitation is no earlier than 30 days from the date of the solicitation release date. The solicitation due date will be noted on the solicitation at the time of issue. There is no technical information available until the issue of the solicitation via the Internet. SCOPE OF WORK: The Seattle District Corps of Engineers has a requirement to provide the Army with all labor, materials, tools, equipment and construction services for modification of an existing levee, including: adding approx 3000 LF to the length of the levee, increasing the height of the levee by an average of 2 feet, construction of a pumping station with 3 pumps, each with 70K gpm capacity, construction of a detention pond with a capacity of approx 280K CF, construction of an 800 LF pump channel, installation of a motor control center with 4 sections and a 1000 amp rating, construction of levee ramps and other related features. This projects magnitude of construction is between $10 million and $25 million.
