Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation prepared in accordance with FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisitions Procedures. Department of Commerce (DOC), National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Pacific Marine Environmental Laboratory located in Seattle, WA has a requirement for quantity of 50 each RM Young Brand Name Wind Monitors Model #05103 with 05163PW Flange bearings and 05124WG Vertical Shaft Bearings (waterproof grease) in place of standard grease filled bearings for marine use. The required delivery date is no later than April 15, 2010, FOB destination, Seattle, WA. Pacific Marine Environmental laboratory's ATLAS mooring systems are designed to use RM Young Wind Monitor. The analog to digital electronic circuit boards used inside the ATLAS instrument data logger are designed to interface with the RM Young Wind Monitor. At the time of development of the ATLAS system the RM Young Wind Monitor was the wind sensor that had the necessary specification to integrate into the ATLAS mooring platform. PMEL has a large inventory of RM Young Monitors and data loggers for its field work. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will NOT be issued. This procurement is 100% set aside for small business concerns. The North American Industry Classification System code for this acquisition is 334519. The government intends to award a firm fixed-price contract..
