- Description
- The Department of the Interior, U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), Alaska Volcano Observatory has a requirement for a flexible, multi-vendor, multi-award, which allows selection of variable quantities of either a single item or combination of seismometers and digitizers/dataloggers. The requirements includes 34 (each) Broadband Seismometer package including 3-component seismometer, 24-bit digitizer, > 2Gbyte flash memory datalogger, GPS timing system, and RS-232 or Ethernet interface; and/or 34 (each) Broadband 3-component Seismometer; and/or 34 (each) Digitizer/Datalogger. The minimum required specifications will be identified in the forth coming solicitation. The Government anticipates award of a commercial, Firm-Fixed Price type contract using the procedures of FAR subpart 13.5, "Test Program for Certain Commercial Items," and FAR Part 12 entitled, "Acquisition of Commercial Items." Delivery of the seismometers will be on or about 01 June 2010. The formal solicitation and any documents related to this procurement will be available on the internet on or about 10 March 2010. A formal solicitation is NOT available for release at this time. This requirement is unrestricted. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 334519 and the size standard is 500 employees. There is no incumbent contractor. Full funding for requirements to be completed by resultant contract award(s) may utilize funds provided by the Act. Inclusion of unique provisions required to implement the Act, including those for significant reporting and transparency requirements by the successful offeror(s), will be required in any resultant contract.
