- The Marine Corps Systems Command (MCSC), PG-13 Infantry Weapons Systems (IWS), PMM-131, Reconnaissance and Amphibious Raids (RAR) intends to issue an award as an Other Than Full An Open Competition to U.S. Divers CO., INC., DBA Aqua Lung America to procure an estimated 885 Combatant Diver Vests (CDV) (part number 769171) and spare parts. The total estimated award value is anticipated to be $2,002,000.00. The contemplated contract type being considered for award is firm fixed price with a one year period of performance. The NAICS code is 339999 with a business size standard of 500 employees. The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition is 10 U.S.C. Section 2304 (c) (1) as implemented by the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) 6.302-1. Aqua Lung's CDV (part number 769171) is the only manufacturer of a buoyancy compensator/life preserver (BC/LP) that meets USMC CDV system performance specifications and is the only product in the market place that is configured for use with closed, semi-closed and open circuit diving systems. The CDV part number 769171 has proven reliability when configured for closed-circuit Mk 25 Mod 2 Underwater Breathing Apparatus (UBA). The CDV (part number 769171) currently meets Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) requirements, the United States Marine Corps (USMC) specifications, is Authorized for Navy Use (ANU) and the CDV (part number 769171) is available now.
