- RECOVERY PRE-SOLICTATION NOTICE FOR RECONDITIONING OF THE LA CUEVA PARKING AREAS. THIS PROJECT IS FUNDED FROM THE AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT (ARRA) OF 2009. THIS PROJECT IS 100% SET ASIDE FOR 8(a) SMALL BUSINESSES. Competition is limited to 8(a) concerns. The Bureau of Land Management, New Mexico State Office, intends to issue a Request for Quote (RFQ) to award a single, firm fixed-price contract to an eligible 8(a) small business concern for the reconditioning of the La Cueva parking areas under NAICS 238990 with a size standard of $14.0. The works consists of the application of aggregate chip seal, clearing and grubbing, excavating, pavement marking and asphalt surface treatment. The project site is La Cueva Road located east of Las Cruces, New Mexico in Dona Ana County. The estimated period of performance is 60 calendar days from issuance of Notice to Proceed. The estimated price range is between $50,000 and $100,000. In accordance with FAR 28.102-1, a 100% Payment Bond is required for contracts greater than $30,000 prior to issuance of Notice to Proceed. The solicitation will be issued on or about March 16, 2010 and will only be available electronically at www.FedConnect.net. Paper copies are no longer available. The awarded small business contractor is subject to Section 1512(c) of the ARRA which requires each contractor to report on it use of ARRA funds under the awarded contract.
