- DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS (VA) COMPETITION FOR EXISTING LEASE LOCATION The VA currently occupies 20,302 net usable square feet (nusf) of space at 2301 East Lamar Blvd. in Arlington, Texas as office space. The lease expires on September 30, 2012. The VA is seeking to lease an additional 3,562 nusf, for a total leased space of 23,864 nusf. The VA is conducting a competition for alternative space and will relocate if advantageous to the Government. The cost of moving, alterations, and other factors will be considered when determining whether to relocate. The space must be on no more than one floor or two contiguous floors. On-site parking for 70 vehicles is required. A lease for up to 2 years will be considered. Occupancy required by May 1, 2010. To be considered, space must be within or bordering a delineated area as follows: South - Interstate 20 East - HWY 360 North - HWY 183 West - Cooper Street Offerors must provide evidence that properties are outside the 100-year flood plain. VA staff will conduct a market survey of properties offered for lease. Interested offerors (owners, brokers, or their legal representatives) should submit 2 copies of specific information concerning their properties to Delrick Whitehorn by mail, or e-mail no later than 5:00 p.m. on March 5, 2010 at the following address: Department of Veterans Affairs ATTN: Delrick Whitehorn 4500 S. The Government is limited by law (41 C.F.R. 102-73.55) to pay no more than the appraised fair rental value for space. RESPONDENTS ARE ADVISED THAT THE VA ASSUMES NO RESPONSIBILITY TO AWARD A LEASE BASED UPON RESPONSES TO THIS ADVERTISEMENT.
