- FA8620-05-G-3028-0062: MQ-1 Aircraft and MD-1 Ground Control Stations Kit Installation: This is a pre-solicitation synopsis. The Aeronautical Systems Center (ASC), Predator Systems Squadron (703 AESG) intends to award a new delivery order on a sole source basis to General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. This effort is to install VORTEX GFP hardware and hardware previously procured.The contractor shall develop an MQ-1B Block 10 - 15 Aircraft Kit Installation Program, utilizing a contractor field retrofit team to install 20 of 48 block 10 to 15 retrofits and to support the Block 10 - 15 Field Retrofit effort which involves a "Blue Suit" Field installation of 28 of 48 Block 10 - 15 Retrofit Kits, develop an MQ-1B Predator Primary Data Link (PPDL) & differential Global Positioning System (dGPS) Kit Installation Program to install 36 aircraft PPDL and dGPS Retrofit Kits at the GA-ASI Depot facility, develop a PPDL Kit Installation Plan for 52 MD-1A, 1B and 1D Ground Control Station Kits to support a field Retrofit effort, procure the retrofit kits to install VORTEX in all MQ-1 Aircraft. The kit is being designed under a contract for Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC). Also, prepare an installation plan to install the VORTEX hardware into all MQ-1 Aircraft as either "Blue Suit" or depot retrofit. This notice of intent is not a request for com! petitive proposals.General Atomics ASI is the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer of the MQ-1B Predator system and is the only firm that possesses the necessary knowledge, experience and technical data required to perform this effort. The government does not own the data rights for the system; therefore, to avoid duplication costs, the government intends to award the effort pursuant to the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c) (1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1.For subcontracting opportunities, interested parties may submit appropriate information to Paula Hodgetts at 858-312-3615, or paula.hodgetts@gat.com at General Atomics ASI.
