Description
RECOVERY - PER FAR 5.7 THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY; THEREFORE FAR 5.203 DOES NOT APPLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO CONTRACTOR(S) UNDER: Schedule 56 - Building and Building Materials Industrial This project consists of replacing warehouse doors and altering archways for building 4040 located at Aberdeen Proving Grounds (Edgewood Area), MD for the Army National Guard. All GSA contractors who have a valid contract under schedule 56 Building and Building Materials Industrial, are invited to submit a proposal. The award will not necessarily be made to the lowest priced offeror. It is not planned to hold discussions with the offerors but does not preclude the Contracting Officer from contacting offerors with questions of a clarification in nature. Contractors will be evaluated on (1) technical explain how the project will be completed (a timeline from start to finish), provide catalog cuts of the proposed hanger door, the wind load calculations and structural, and what will be the impact of the header on the gable end; (2) past performance provide two references with company name, POC, phone number, title of project for similar type work (in cost and type of work) if no past performance on this type of product/installation, please indicate in the proposal; and (3) cost. There will be a site visit on 05 March 2010 at 10:30am. POC is Kevin Cook, Contract Specialist (410-417-0007 kevin.j.cook@usace.army.mil). All attendees will gather at: US Army Corps of Engineers APG-IPO, Intersection of Bush River & Scully Road, Building E-1356, Gunpowder, MD (Edgewood Area of Aberdeen Proving Grund) and then proceed to the site. All questions must be submitted in writing and will be answered informally at the site visit and then formally by posting to the FedBizOpps website. Use the Route 24 gate. Upon entering the installation, turn left onto Magnolia Road. Go through one stop light (gas station on your right). When road curves right, stay in left lane and turn left onto Bush River Road. Make an immediate left onto Scully Road. We are located on the right in the trailers next to the RV Parking. Note the Corps Red Flag. Also see http://www.apg.army.mil Security information: Contractors without badge or Rapidgate pass will have to register at the Route 24 Security gate. A valid form of ID is required for all attending and entering base. A valid vehicle registration is also required. Please plan for half an hour to get through the gate security for those not having a badge or rapidgate pass. The solicitation will be provided in an electronic format, free of charge on or about 17 February 2010, to all authenticated account holders of Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) System. Please note that all Corps of Engineers acquisitions are considered sensitive, but unclassified documents and require users to have valid MPIN entered in the FBO systems to access package. Proposals are due on 12 March 2010 at 1:00 pm. The media through which the Government chooses to issue this solicitation will be the Internet only. This solicitation will not be issued in paper.
