Description

The Department of the Interior, U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), Alaska Volcano Observatory has a requirement for one (ea.) handheld thermal camera, including software, wide and narrow lens and two (ea.) fixed mount long-wave infrared thermal camera and associated software. The minimum required specifications will be identified in the forth coming solicitation. The Government anticipates award of a commercial, Firm-Fixed Price type contract using the procedures of FAR subpart 13.5, "Test Program for Certain Commercial Items," and FAR Part 12 entitled, "Acquisition of Commercial Items." Delivery of the cameras and software shall be 120 days after award of the contract. The formal solicitation and any documents related to this procurement will be available on the internet on or about 05 March 2010. A formal solicitation is NOT available for release at this time. This requirement is unrestricted. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 334513 and the size standard is 500 employees. There is no incumbent contractor. One or more of the items under this acquisition is subject to Free Trade Agreements. Full funding for requirements to be completed by resultant contract award(s) may utilize funds provided by the Act. Inclusion of unique provisions required to implement the Act, including those for significant reporting and transparency requirements by the successful offeror(s), will be required in any resultant contract.
