- SYNOPSIS Commodities - Brand Name or Equal The 87 Contracting Squadron has a requirement for: 14 Each, Planmeca Intra Intraoral X-ray Machine OR EQUAL Tubehead The power generator shall have a high frequency constant potential generator at 66 kHz. The focal spot shall be no larger than 0.7 x0.7. The filtration shall have a minimum of 2 mm AI equivalent at 70 kV according to IEC 522. The anode current is adjustable at 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, and 8 mA. The anode voltage is adjustable at 50, 52, 55, 57, 60, 63, 66 and 70 kV. The exposure time must be adjustable between 0.01 - 3.2 seconds within 23 steps. Remote Control/Exposure Station The remote control/exposure station must have the ability to select X-ray technique parameters. This control station shall have the flexibility to meet the following mounting needs: • On the X-ray with a coiled cord • On a remote mount with a coiled cord • On a remote mount without a coiled cord This control station shall also have the capabilities to be installed with two exposure switched for certain state safety regulations. The software controlling in the remote control/exposure station must have the capabilities of setting the kV levels, mA levels, and the timing adjustments for the 16 different tooth selections. Four upper jaw selections, four lower jaw selections, for children and adults plus bitewing, endo, and occlusal selections. X-ray Mounting The X-ray shall have the ability to be easily mounted in the following ways: • Wall mounted, self-contained • Wall mounted, self-contained with a remote exposure station • Single stud mount with a remote exposure station • Pass-through mount, self-contained • Pass-through mount with a remote exposure station • Compact dental unit mount with a remote station The remote station connection must be a 4-wire phone cable for easy installation. X-ray Reach The X-ray must have five different arm lengths, with the reach measured from the cone to the wall. Short arm with a 56-inch reach; standard arm with a 65-inch reach; pass-through arm with a 74-inch reach; long arm with a 77-inch reach; and an X-long arm with an 85-inch reach. Patient Positioning The tubehead must be designed for easy patient positioning. One side of the tubehead must be flat for easy sighting of target areas. The tubehead arm shall have the positioning degree at the pivot point for correct tubehead angulations. The tubehead must have the ability to add a long cone, and the ability to be adapted by a film positioning devise. Digitally Upgradeable The X-ray timer must be digital ready. The unit must be pre-wired with a CAT5 cable threaded through the horizontal arm for DIXI2 Digital Sensors. The software must have a Flash E Prom for future digital requirements and work with DICOM-Compliant Dimaxis software. Weight The weight of the tubehead must be 8 pounds or less, and the total weight of the X-ray unit shall be no more than 51 pounds. Electrical Requirements The electrical requirements must be 110 v - 115v =/- 10% and 15 Amps. Microprocessor Controlled The X-ray must be microprocessor controlled for future upgradeability and contain the software for self-diagnostics. This solicitation is a Request for Quotation and is issued as a 100% Small Business Set-Aside under Standard Industrial Class Code (SIC) is 3844, NAICS Code 339114 and related Small Business Standard - 500 Employees. FOB: Destination. All potential sources must obtain a DUNS number and register in the Central Contractor Register (CCR) in order to transact business with the Department of Defense (DOD). Failure to obtain a DUNS number and register in CCR may result in the delay of award of a contract or possible award to the next otherwise successful offeror who is registered in CCR at the time of award. Solicitation will be issued on or about 23 February 2010. Due date will be stated in the solicitation. Any substitutes or equals must be accompanied by the specifications. The solicitation will be available only on the FedBizOpps (EPS) website at http:///www.fedbizopps.gov. The solicitation can be accessed by following the links on the EPS website to: USAF Offices, Air Mobility Command,87 CONS. Paper copies will not be available. Once the solicitation is posted, it in incumbent upon the interested parties to review the site frequently for any updates/amendments to this solicitation.
