- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. This is not a request for proposal. There will not be a solicitation issued at this time. This notice is published to determine set-aside procedures for an upcoming American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) project. The VA Medical Center, Manchester, NH, has a requirement for Water Tower Corrosion Control, Project 608-07-102. The purpose of this notice is to determine if there are qualified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) and/or Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB) contractors with sufficient bonding capacity to perform this project to warrant a set-aside procurement action. The project description is as follows: The work of this project involves renovation of the water tower at the Veteran's Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) in Manchester, New Hampshire. Specific work includes structural steel work and welding, miscellaneous metal work, abrasive blasting of steel surfaces, interior and exterior painting of the water tank, and curing and disinfection as required by drawings and specifications. The applicable NAICS 238320, Painting and Wall Covering Contractors - Engineering structure (e.g., oil storage tank, water tower) painting, and the size standard is $14.0 million. SDVOSBs and/or VOSBs interested must be registered in the US Department of Veteran Affairs Vet Biz database as well as the Central Contractor Registration (CCR). Registration is to be accomplished at the following website: http://www.vip.vetbiz.gov/ for VetBiz and www.ccr.gov for CCR. Interested parties responding to this sources sought notice shall submit the following information at a minimum: (1) Company name, address, point of contact with a phone number, and a DUNS number (2) Documentation relating to capability of performance of a water tower painting project with a construction magnitude between $1 million and $2 million (including references) (3) Ability to meet at least 25 percent of the cost of the contract performance incurred for personnel will be spent on the concern's employees or the employees of other service-disabled veteran-owned small business concerns, which is a requirement of Public Law 109-461 for specialty trade construction. (4) Proof of registration in VetBiz and CCR (5) Documentation on bonding capacity for this project. Address that capacity will be available on or about April 2010.
