Description
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is seeking competent and qualified SBA 8 (a) certified contractors to provide labor, equipment, tools, supplies and materials to replace the HVAC System at the Buffalo Air Traffic Control Tower Cab located in Cheektowaga, NY. Estimated Cost:$300,000 -$375,000 NACIS:238220 Plumbing/Heating/Air Conditioning Time:120 calendar days Payment Bond:Required Performance Bond:Required CCR.GOV DatabaseREGISTRATION:Required Tentative Start Date: May 1, 2010 RFO Issue Date: February 22, 2010 RFO Request DateFebruary 22, 2010 - February 26, 2010 RFO Request InfoMaria.Rosu@faa.gov or Fax 718-995-5685 Mandatory Site Visit: March 2, 2010 - 1:00 p.m. SECURITY ISSUES issues preclude the need for the FAA to be informed prior to contractor's arrival for badge and escorting requirements. Contractors shall contact Larisa Gershman FAA - PROJECT ENGINEER 718-553-4850, or e-mail address is: Larisa.Gershman@faa.gov forty-eight hours (48) prior to arrange for attendance at the site visit by providing NAMES OF ATTENDESS ALONG WITH DATE OF BIRTH. Contractors must provide Government Issued Photo ID upon arrival at the Buffalo Air Traffic Control Tower located at 165Holtz Road Cheektowaga, NY 14225. Failure to provide this information will result in NON-PARTICIPATION of the site visit. Offers will be accepted from only those contractors that receive the RFO Package and attend this MANDATORY site visit to assure a full understanding of the requirement. CCR.GOV REQUIREMENT Note: To be considered for award of this project the contractor must be currently registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database (website: www.ccr.gov). Companies that qualify may request a copy of the Screening Information Request (solicitation). Due to a time restraint, all fax requests must be received by 12:00 p.m., EST- February 26, 2010. Requests shall be faxed to (718) 995-5685 or sent via e-mail to Maria.Rosu@faa.gov. No phone requests will be accepted. Contractor Requests for the solicitation/Screening Information will be controlled based on the time and date as it appears on the fax request or E-mail receipt report. Requests received after 12:00 p.m., -February 26, 2010 will not receive the solicitation/Screening Information (SIR) RFO Package. Evaluation of proposals to this SIR will rely heavily on Past Performance and Financial Capability. The Government will award to the technically acceptable offeror who is determined to be responsible and whose proposal conforms to all requirements of the SIR, has Acceptable Past Performance, Relevant Experience and offers the lowest price, Technically acceptable offer. Technically acceptable is defined as proposals that meet or exceed all requirements of the SIR and demonstrate the technical ability to perform requirements of the Specifications. The Notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has a program to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at the prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
