Description
Presolicitation Notice Small Munition Carriage & Release Components Response Date: NLT 4:00 PM., Central Standard Time on 09 March 2010 NAICS Code: 332995 This is a Presolicitation notice. The Air Armament Center Enterprise Acquisition Specialized Flight intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) to provide Small Munition Carriage & Release support for Eglin Air Force Base, Florida. The expected RFP release date will be on or about 16 March 2010. Potential offerors should monitor the website (www.fedbizopps.gov) for the official release of the RFP package. This contract acquires Small Munition Carriage and Release components, integrates them on combat aircraft, and supports operational employment. Small Munition carriage and release components include: 1. Common Launch Tubes (CLTs) 2. Mass simulants of inventory munitions 3. Munition launcher containers (CNUs) with tool kits 4. Pylons 5. Munition storage racks This contract also acquires the following services in support of Small Munition Carriage and Release components: 1. Shipment of CLTs, pylons, CNUs, in support of their assembly, installation, test, and operational deployment 2. Engineering services in support of installation, test, and operation of munition carriage and release components 3. Technical data and training Integration of Small Munition carriage and release components on combat aircraft includes integration on new platforms, conducting analysis and test to obtain and retain Nonnuclear Munitions Safety Board (NNMSB) and airworthiness certifications, and provide test services (flight and ground), instrumentation, and support equipment. Supporting operational employment includes adapting, producing or procuring Small Munition carriage and release components and systems to support new Small Munition integrations and employments. It is anticipated that this acquisition will be set-aside 100% for Small Business. Interested sources who believe they can meet these requirements should provide the following information. (c) Cage Code (d) Data Universal Numbering System (DUNS) number (e) Business type including business size, and whether you are a small or large business for the purposes of the assigned NAICS. The contract type anticipated by the Government is FFP. The anticipated period of performance is two (2) years, base year plus (1) one option years. The proposed North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 332995, with a small business standard size of 750 employees. Your response to this presolicitation notice shall be received NLT 4:00 PM., Central Standard Time on 09 March 2010. The Ombudsman does not diminish the authority of the Program Manager or Contracting Officer, but communicates Contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman shall maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
