Description

The proposed contract action is for services and supplies the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source (Applanix LLC) FAR 6.302-1. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. Applanix LLC is the manufacturer for the required item. The Inertial Motion Unit (IMU) for the Survey Vessel Wheeler, Detroit, Michigan needs to be replaced. The purpose of this project is to perform all that is required to include labor, material, equipment and supervision to replace a defective POS/MV 320 Ver. 4 IMU. The IMU is responsible for measuring the dynamic motion (Heave, Pitch, Roll) of the S/V Wheeler while conducting hydrographic surveys. The IMU must interface with the existing POS/MV 320 V4 Positioning system. NOTE: THIS WILL BE A SOLE SOURCE PROCUREMENT. THE CONTRACTOR IS APPLANIX LLC. NAICS: 334511, estimated cost is between $25,000 and $100,000.00. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within five (5) calendar days after date of publication of synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Requests can be emailed to richard.d.hamilton@usace.army.mil.
