- The purpose of this amendment is to provide responses posed by potential offerors. The following questions were posed, along with their respective responses: Question: I would like to know if hard drives need to be included in the RAID. If so, what capacity hard drives? Response: No hard drives are needed. Question: Is the " 300/SAS " suppose to mean 300GB SAS disks? What does " 0 x HD - 4 " mean? Response: This is part of Promise's description of the VTE610FD part number. The Controller Interface Type is Serial ATA-300 / SAS. Both are supported. Again, please quote a qty 5 of Promise P/N VTE610FD. Question: How many SAS drives are you looking for to populate 5 Promise systems? Response: Zero drives. NIST will populate the Promise VTRAK RAIDS.
