Description
The purpose of this source sought notice is to conduct a market research of the current marketplace for interested operations and maintenance service contractors with professional experience in operations and maintenance for occupied government facilities in the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Area. The Government does not intend to pay for the information solicited in this synopsis and will not recognize any costs associated with submission of the information. This synopsis does NOT constitute a future contract and there is NO solicitation available at this time. Therefore, if your company is interested in being a part of this market research, please provide the U.S. Department of State (DOS) a copy of your company’s corporate capability statement that includes the following background experience information of your company: • Type and size of chillers operated, maintained and repaired. • Type and size of equipment used to maintain critical temperatures and humidity, and areas served. • Experience with energy management systems? Lighting control systems? Water management systems (Name specific equipment and systems.) • Types of energy management system utilized to monitor/control these emergency power systems. Licensed technicians on staff? • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management (CMMS) systems? Which ones? What modules? • Type and size of electrical distribution systems maintained and repaired. • Type and size of Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems operated, maintained, repaired and areas that were served. • Type and size of diesel powered generators operated, maintained, repaired and areas served. • Largest office type facility, including a campus type facility, maintained under an operations and maintenance type contract. • Largest Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Contract awarded. • Experience with maintaining antique or historic structures. • Experience with performance-based O&M contracts • Years of experience in operations and maintenance type contracts • Number of current employees with security clearance, and what type. List technical specialties of those with current clearances (e.g., plumber, electrician, Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) mechanic, custodian, planner/estimator) • Type of corporate security clearance, if any. • How effective are you at cost management? Would your customers agree? • Where is your corporate head quarters located? • Technical “reach-back” capabilities within the organization. (Reach-back- The companies Technical personnel and staffing abilities) • Past performance information (At least two Government Agencies and two Commercial Firms). Capability statements should include relevant past performance information of providing operations and maintenance services. We request that interested and qualified businesses submit their capability statements within the limitation of ten (10) pages (electronic submissions are welcome) to the Contract Specialist, Ms. Tracy R. Ford via at e-mail address fordtr@state.gov, within fourteen (14) business days of the release of this announcement. SMALL BUSINESSES SHALL INCLUDE THEIR SOCIO-ECONOMIC GROUP.
