- CONSTRUCTION PROJECT - 644-10-104, OR Humidification/Dehumidification, Carl T. Hayden VA Medical Center. The Phoenix VA Healthcare System (PAVAHCS), Phoenix Arizona, intends to issue a solicitation requesting bids to provide all work shown on the drawings and included in the specifications. Work includes, but is not limited to: installation of new humidification and dehumidification system, including controls for Operating rooms 1 through 7 located on the 3rd floor of Area "D" in Building 1. Performance Period is 500 calendar days after receiving Notice to Proceed. Complete drawings and specifications will be included in the solicitation document that will be available on FedBizOpps on or about March 4th, 2010. Interested parties are strongly encouraged to attend a site visit tentatively scheduled for Wednesday, March 10th, 2010 at 10:00AM at PAVAHCS, ACC Basement Quadrant Training Room #1, 650 E Indian School Rd. All bidders/contractors are strongly urged to attend as there will only be ONE Pre-Bid Conference/Site Visit for this project. Due to anticipated response and limited space, please limit the number of attendees in your group. Contractors shall contact Justin Hicks, Contract Specialist, to indicate their interest in attending the Pre-Bid Conference/Site Visit. Requests, in the form of an e-mail message to Justin.Hicks@va.gov, must be received by the Contracting Officer no later than Friday, March 5th, 2010 at 2:00pm local time. Solicitation responses will be due in the Phoenix VAMC Building 28 no later than Friday, April 9th, 2010 at 2:00 pm local time. The bid opening will be held at PAVAHCS, Building 28 (Contracting Office), 650 E Indian School Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85012. Bid submissions shall be in hardcopies. Telegraphic, email, and facsimile bids ARE PROHIBITED. This project requires the bidders/contractors to secure bonding. All bidders shall be registered and verified in the www.ccr.gov and www.vetbiz.gov and https://orca.bpn.gov/ in order to be eligible for award. This procurement is 100 percent set aside for Service-Disabled, Veteran-Owned, Small Business (SDVOSB). The NAICS code is 238220. The associated size standard for this procurement is $14.0 million dollars in average gross annual receipts for the preceding three years. Project Magnitude: Between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Award is subject to availability of funding and subject to Recovery Act funding.
