Description

RECOVERY ACTION THIS IS ONLY THE PRESOLICITATION NOTICE. NO ACTION IS REQUESTED NOR REQUIRED. THE COMPLETE SOLICITATION INCLUDING ALL SPECIFICATIONS, PLANS AND DRAWINGS WILL BE POSTED ON OR AFTER 4 MARCH 2010, SUBJECT TO CHANGE. The solicitation will be issued in electronic format ONLY and will be posted on the FedBizOpps website when available. This procurement will be issued as a SBA Certified HUBZone Small Business Set-aside under NAICS code 236220 with a small business standard size of $33.5M. Firms must appear on the list of Qualified HUBZone Small Business Concerns maintained by the Small Business Administration (SBA) at https://eweb1sp.sba.gov/hubzone/internet/general/approved-firms.cfm to be eligible for an award under this solicitation. The solicitation will be issued as an Invitation For Bid (IFB) utilizing FAR Part 14, Sealed Bidding process. The magnitude of this solicitation is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The resulting contract shall be a firm-fixed price construction contract. In accordance with FAR Part 36, Construction Contracts, bonding is required in the form of bid guarantee, and payment and performance bonds. General Description: The National Park Service (NPS) has identified a requirement to have a contractor supply and construct a single story metal prefabricated building. The approximate size of the facility will be 6,400 sq ft. There will be two (2) option items under this solicitation for two (2) separate concrete slabs that will be approximately 3,200 sq ft each that are to be located near the prefabricated metal building. Place of Performance: Glacier Bay National Park and Preserve, located near the town of Gustavus, Alaska 99826.
