Description: TAS::14 1041::TAS RECOVERY STLI PMIS # 152408 & 125742 Stabilization of the Baggage and Dormitory Building; Stabilization of the Powerhouse This Project is an American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) action. Receipt of award is contingent upon the offeror's meeting the requirements of Section 1512 (reports of use of funds) of the Recovery Act. General: The National Park Service, Department of Interior, is soliciting proposals for construction firms having the capability to perform the work described as follows: Stabilization of the Baggage and Dormitory Building; Stabilization of the Powerhouse at Statue of Liberty National Monument in New York County, New York and Hudson County, New Jersey. Solicitation Number N2011100073. PMIS Numbers STLI 152408 (Baggage & Dormitory) and STLI 125742 (Powerhouse). The offeror selected shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment and expertise necessary to perform all operations required for the successful completion of this project. Description: Removal of deteriorated roofing and installation of new roofing including installing replacement wood rafters and sheathing, temporary infill framing of openings and temporary wood roof trusses; Repair and replacement of copper gutters and flashing; Provide protection, shoring, scaffolding, crane and other hoisting and supporting equipment; Hazmat abatement of ACM containing materials such as pipe insulation and ceiling tiles and lead-based paint; Dismantling, labeling and storing of historic stone elements at building cornices; Removal and disposal of loose plaster, other interior finishes and general debris; Cleaning, repair and painting of structural steel, steel connections and installation of new steel lintels; Removal of metal grilles and installation of protective covering at window openings to make watertight; Installation of steel exterior doors; Repair of structural reinforced concrete elements such as slabs, columns, etc.; Installation of a concrete "capture" slab; Repair, replacement of masonry units and re-pointing of masonry. Type of Acquisition: A negotiated, firm-fixed price contract will be awarded requiring submission of both a technical and a price proposal. The government will consider an offeror's technical capability, subcontracting plan, past performance, and price to determine the best value (trade-off process) to the government. The NAICS code for this project is 236220 and the small business size standard is $33.5million. In accordance with FAR Subpart 36.204, the estimated price range for this contract is between $5,000,000 and $7,000,000. The contract duration is 365 calendar days following the notice to proceed.
