- RECOVERY - WIFI PLATFORM DATA RADIO The Department of the Interior, U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), has a requirement for approximately fifty-six (56), 802.11 WiFi Platform Data Radios for delivery to Vancouver,WA. The minimum required specifications for the 802.11 WiFi Platform Data Radios are as follows: System Board-CPU: Intel x86 or ARM compatible with a clock rate of 266 MHz or greater.RAM: 32 MB-Flash Memory: One Compact Flash socket-Ethernet Ports: Two ethernet ports-Mini PCI slots: Two mini-pci slots-Power: 12 VDC, PoE and coaxial input-Temperature Rating: 0 to 70C-RS-232 Ports: One RS-232 port.-Full support by a Linux-based operating system that includes the MadWiFi extenstions. This includes, but is not limited to: OpenWRT, StarOS, and IkarusOS. WiFi Radio Cards-Mini-pci form factor-802.11a/b/g compliant-Supports WEP, WPA-PSK, WPA2-Adjustable transmit power Enclosure and Cabling-Outdoor enclosure with hinged door-Nema 6 rated weatherproofing-Waterproof Die Cast Aluminum with Powder Coat Paint-Five hole-knockouts-Capable of pole or wall Mount-Fits selected WiFi router platform/board -Radio-antenna end of pigtail will be female N-type bulkheads-Radio-card end will fit the selected radio card. The Government anticipates award of a commercial, Firm-Fixed Price type contract. The delivery date is anticipated to be 45 days after award of the contract. In accordance with the requirements of FAR 5.102(a)(1) and FAR 5.207(c)(11), a written RFQ and any documents related to this acquisition will be issued in accordance with the procedures of FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, and will be available on the internet on or about 26 February 2010. The offeror is responsible for monitoring this site for the release of the request for quotation and amendments (if any). A formal request for quotation is not available for release at this time. This requirement is being issued as a total small business set-aside opportunity. The applicable North America Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 334220 and the size standard is 750 employees. There is no incumbent contractor. Full or partial funding for requirements to be completed by resultant contract award(s) will utilize funds provided by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (the 'Act'), Public Law 111-5. Inclusion of unique provisions required to implement the Act, including those for significant reporting and transparency requirements by the successful offeror(s), will be required in any resultant contract.All firms must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database at www.ccr.gov, as well as, the Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA) to be considered for award.
