- Amendment W91ZLK-10-T-0128 0003 is issued to provide answers to questions and clarifications. The closing date of the solicitation has been extended until February 16, 2010 @ 11:00 AM Eastern Standard Time. Please SUBMIT YOUR QUOTATIONS to Ms. Sowa at the RDECOM Contracting Center Aberdeen Installation Contracting Division, 4118 Susquehanna Avenue, Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD 21005-3013. Quotations may be submitted via email to: susan.sowa@us.army.mil or Fax 410-306-3726. Quotations must be signed, dated, and received by the closing date. QUESTION 4: Have electrical floor plans and an order been submitted identifying where the drops need to be made? If so, can a copy be provided? With full understanding that the configuration will be modified slightly vs. the last usage, have new layouts been mocked up to specifically identify the required layout for the AUSA show? If so, can a copy be provided? ANSWER 4: Electrical Floor Plans/Config Layout: Yes. Reference attached layout for electrical and internet. QUESTION 5: Will a list of inventory items by crate be provided, enabling easy identification of the various assets in order to streamline installation? Are general assembly and cad drawings going to be available prior to installation? ANSWER 5: Inventory by crate, assembly and CAD drawings: No. Representatives from this office will be available. QUESTION 6: Does the AMC require internet connections and cabling? If so, will copies of the order and drop locations be provided? ANSWER 6: Internet: Reference Answer 4. QUESTION 7: The solicitation mentions a carpet inlay installation onsite during the installation process. Does the inlay exist or will we need to produce the inlay? Do visuals and dimensions exist for the inlay; and if so, can they be provided? ANSWER 7: Carpet Inlay: The Government has specified 32 oz plush carpet and 8# underlayment to be laid as follows: 50'x 50' Silver Mist with a 30' diameter ROUND inlay Gunmetal Gray cut nearly in the center. We will either have representatives in place to layout at time of carpet install or provide exact drawings. QUESTION 8: Is the Army planning to have a representative familiar with this exhibit onsite for the duration installation? ANSWER 8: Army Representative: We will have our setup team of six people on site. There are five persons dedicated to this project. QUESTION 9: The solicitation attachment for the production schedule identifies activities on Wednesday 2/17 and Thursday 2/18. Does AMC have special permission to access the facility and work during those non-scheduled hours? The GC lists Friday as the earliest and pre-approved move in for 50 x 50 exhibits. Can you elaborate on how you came up with the tentative production schedule attached to the solicitation? ANSWER 9: Work schedule: Yes, we are identified by GES as a Critical Exhibitor and our install window starts ahead of most others. At least the labor team manager from the contract labor team needs to be on site Wednesday Feb 17th at 0800 to supervise the laying of electrical and internet lines and the hanging of overhead trusses with signage on the 18th. Carpet must also be laid on the 18th after all aerial work is completed. QUESTION 10: With regard to the water tower: do instructions exist and will they be provided for both assembly and operation? ANSWER 10: Water column: No instructions exist. The designer and fabricator will be available. QUESTION 11: Exhibitor kit shows move in beginning on Friday Feb. 19th for 50 x 50 booths. Your printed schedule starts on the 17th. Has this been cleared with the contractor (GES)? ANSWER 11: Yes. QUESTION 12: Will the hanging signs be delivered to the booth on that day? ANSWER 12: Overhead signs are at the advance warehouse and will be on site on the 18th. QUESTION 13 Carpet. Do we provide the carpet or is this part of the display? Custom carpet can be ordered but we need to know colors- etc. We need to know if we are just laying your carpet or actually supplying it. ANSWER 13: Supply of carpet was included in the Performance Work Statement, Attachment 1 Specifications, please refer to Answer 7. QUESTION 14: Will we be provided with the electric/data line specs? ANSWER 14: Yes. QUESTION 15: Normally the general contractor requires outside contractors (like us) to submit paperwork and insurance certificates 30 days in advance. But I saw that they forgot to put a deadline date on their form. Do you think this will be a problem? Seeing as we are only one week away? ANSWER 15: If you have worked with GES prior it should not present a problem. QUESTION 16: What is the display designer/builder's suggested installation time (man-hours)? ANSWER 16: We do not have an estimate. Please consider our layout as supplies and the timeline described and as with all exhibit work. QUESTION 17: What is the total weight of the shipment? So that we can calculate the material handling charges. ANSWER 17: Labor only required to assist in assembly. QUESTION 18: Is the shipment in route as a direct shipment? Or has it already been sent to the advanced warehouse? ANSWER 18: Direct shipment at Government expense. QUESTION 19: Are we to include shipping cost? Inbound or outbound. ANSWER 19: No. QUESTION 20: Is the booth size 50x50? ANSWER 20: Yes. QUESTION 21: What kind of carpet is to be ordered? Standard or Custom. ANSWER 21: Reference ANSWER 7. QUESTION 22: Single padding under the carpet or double padding? ANSWER 22: Single 8#. QUESTION 23: Has electrical been ordered? If not, what are the electrical requirements? ANSWER 23: Voltage, number of 20 AMPS, single phase, three phase. Electrical paid for by Government as a separate action. QUESTION 24: Are there drawings, plans and instructions available to assemble and dismantle? Are they available for us to view today? ANSWER 24: No. Key VISC personnel will be available. QUESTION 25: What are the estimated labor hours and equipment requirements for setup/tear down on this configuration? ANSWER 25: We do not have an estimate for this. QUESTION 26: Have you submitted the TECH Questionnaire? Answer 26: The Tech Questionnaire does not apply. Please reference the Performance Work Statement in Attachment 1.
