- The project consists of constructing utility connections and providing vehicular access to the Folsom Resident Office to make it available for use by Corps staff. The proposed utility construction includes; a. Transplanting 8-12 oak trees, which are in the footprint of the proposed roadway b. The establishment of electrical service c. Two underground pipelines for sewer and water. Without access to utilities, the office would not comply with occupational health and safety regulations and would be unusable for the JFP's construction and on-site project teams. d. An access road to the Resident Office Building e. A paved parking lot with a secured parking area and a perimeter fence, and f. After utility construction is complete, the Corps would also conduct landscaping activities along the eastern edge of the project area between the Resident Office building and East Natoma Street. Acquisition Information: This acquisition is proceeding as a HubZone small business competitive, Invitation for Bid (IFB). NOTE: THIS PROJECT IS SET-ASIDE FOR HUBZONE SMALL BUSINESS. OFFERS FROM OTHER THAN HUBZONE BUSINESS CONCERNS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED. Estimated Cost Range is between $500,000 and $1,000,000 Period of Performance for Construction: 180 Days. This Procurement will be conducted under FSC CODE: Z299, SIC CODE: 1629, NAICS Code: 237990. The size standard for this code is $33,500,000. It is anticipated that the IFB will be issued on or about January 22, 2010, for downloading at the Government's website at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. No paper copies will be issued. The specific date and time will be identified in the solicitation. OFFERORS ARE ADVISED THAT THIS PROJECT MAY BE DELAYED, CANCELED OR REVISED AT ANY TIME DURING THE SOLICITATION, SELECTION, EVALUATION, NEGOTIATION AND/OR FINAL AWARD PROCESS. ORDERING SOLICITATION: Plans and specifications will NOT be provided in hard paper copy or CD-ROM format. The solicitation and all amendments for this acquisition will be posted on a secure Government website known as FedBizOpps (www.fbo.gov) once the IFB is issued. Viewing/downloading documents from FedBizOpps will require prior registration in Central Contractor Registration (www.ccr.gov). If you are a first-time FedBizOpps user, you will also be required to register in FedBizOpps (www.fbo.gov) before accessing the IFB documents.
