Description
Update Feb 8, 2010: Site Visit will not be held on March 2, 2010; Site Visit has been postponed indefinitely, pending revision of Scope of Work. Construction Project: The Contractor will provide all labor, materials, incidentals and equipment to install a Government-furnished stator winding on Main Unit 3 at the Lower Granite Powerhouse. Main Unit 3 is a Westinghouse generator rated at 143,105 kVA. The work items include: disassembly of the generator; removal of rotor, cleaning, testing, pole repair and painting; old winding removal; stator core inspection, minor repair and cleaning; installation of new winding and testing; inspections, cleaning and testing of other ancillary components, and, finally; reassembly of the generator and commissioning. This work also includes some optional electrical and mechanical work items. As disassembly of the generator progresses and parts are removed and inspected, the Contracting Officer will make the determination on an item by item basis regarding the exercise of optional work items. Optional work items include: additional testing of components; refurbishment of rotor poles; restacking the stator core; refurbishing wicket gate servomotors; refurbishing thrust bearing shoes and thrust bearing coolers; turbine and upper guide bearing repair etc. The period of performance of the work will be from 1 July 2010 to 31 December 2010. Lower Granite Lock and Dam is located on the Snake River approximately 35 miles downstream from Clarkston, Washington. The work will be performed in the Lower Granite powerhouse. Solicitation No. W912EF-10-R-0014 will be posted to the FBO website on or about February 4, 2010. Proposals will be due no sooner than 30 calendar days after actual solicitation issuance date. Please contact the Emergency Management Office/District Security Office at 509/527-7362 to request clearance. Foreign nationals must have received clearance prior to being granted access to the project site. Solicitation is open to both large and small business concerns. NAICS code for this project is 237990, and the small business size standard is $33,500,000 average annual receipts. Estimated magnitude of construction is $5,000,000 to $10,000,000.
