- JUSTIFICATION FOR OTHER THAN FULL AND OPEN COMPETITIONFAR 6.302-1 41 U.S.C. 253 (c) (1) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 7, VA Medical Center Columbia, SC intends to negotiate a sole source procurement under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, with Chartech Inc. a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business concern to provide Vevo 2100 Imaging System (120V)for their facility. The NAICS code is 423450. This notice of intent is NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. Interested parties may identify their experience in providing this equipment to the Contracting Officer via fax 334-395-4042. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
