Description
This is a Sources Sought Notice. This is NOT a pre-solicitation notice pursuant to FAR Part 5. The 96th Contracting Squadron is seeking to identify sources that can provide On-Site Diagnosis and Coding Compliance for Eglin AFB based on the requirements below. This sources sought is to determine the capability of potential sources and the availability of commercial sources. This notice is for informational purposes only and does not constitute an Invitation for Bid or Request for Proposal, and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 541611, with small business standard size of $7M. Responses to this notice must be received within 5 days from date of notice publication. The Government will not award a contract solely on the basis of this Sources Sought Notice, nor will it reimburse the contractor for any costs associated with preparing or submitting a response to this notice. Any interested parties shall ensure that they are registered in Central Contractor Registration (CCR). To register in CCR, go to http://www.ccr.gov or call 1-888-227-2423 for assistance. Direct any questions/responses about this requirement, by email only, to Carnell James, Contract Specialist, at carnell.james@eglin.af.mil. A requirement exists for On-Site Diagnosis and Coding Compliance with the following minimum specifications: • Contractor must hold a national accreditation from the Joint Commission and Hospital Corporation of America (HCA) • Review the accuracy and appropriateness of ICD-9-CM diagnosis codes for ancillary, emergency department and outpatient surgery encounters • Review the accuracy of APC assignment • Review the accuracy and appropriateness of UB-04 revenue code assignment • Identify services provided but not accurately billed (over / under coding) • Evaluate outpatient record processing procedures • Evaluate procedures for capturing outpatient services • Contractor must provide a written report quarterly detailing: o Coding accuracy rates and APC financial impact for Medicare o Claims with coding or documentation issues o Findings, issues, and recommendations for improvement • Contractor must provide Quarterly On-Site visits with Off-site assistance to ensure successful implementation of recommendations
