- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. This is not a request for proposal. There will not be a solicitation issued at this time. This notice is published to determine set-aside procedures for an upcoming American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) project. The VA Medical Center, West Haven, CT, has a requirement for In-Patient Unit Renovation, Project 689-09-101. The purpose of this notice is to determine if there are qualified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) and/or Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB) contractors with sufficient bonding capacity to perform this project to warrant a set-aside procurement action. The project description is as follows: Contractor shall completely prepare site for building operations, including demolition and removal of interior construction and building systems, and portions of existing structures, and furnish labor and materials and perform work for Renovations to In-Patient Unit as required by drawings and specifications. The applicable NAICS 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction, and the size standard is $33.5 million. SDVOSBs and/or VOSBs interested must be registered in the US Department of Veteran Affairs Vet Biz database as well as the Central Contractor Registration (CCR). Registration is to be accomplished at the following website: http://www.vip.vetbiz.gov/ for VetBiz and www.ccr.gov for CCR. Interested parties responding to this sources sought notice shall submit the following information at a minimum: (1)Company name, address, point of contact with a phone number, and a DUNS number (2)Documentation relating to capability of performance of a masonry project with a construction magnitude of $2m-$5m and $5m - $10m (including references) (3)Ability to meet at least 25 percent of the cost of the contract performance incurred for personnel will be spent on the concern's employees or the employees of other service-disabled veteran-owned small business concerns, which is a requirement of Public Law 109-461 for specialty trade construction. (4)Proof of registration in vetbiz and CCR (5)Documentation on bonding capacity for this project. Address that capacity will be available on or about June/July 2010.
