- Description
- The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) is conducting market research to determine the cost effectiveness of procuring a new enterprise security system at both its Washington, DC and Dallas/Ft Worth facilities. We would like your company to provide a White Paper detailing the cost of undertaking such a project. Our request for information in no way suggests we are asking you to provide a formal bid and does not contractually obligate us to your company, nor does it guarantee we will seek proposals for this effort. The information below is provided to assist you in responding to our request. - The system needs to support over 4,000 users at two locations. One location is in Texas, the other is in Washington DC - BEP will provide the network ports at the respective locations for equipment connectivity. - Current system includes approximately 1012 readers and 153 panels, but the proposed system needs to be scalable to support additional readers/panels. - The current system includes 4200 Alarm points - We need the capability for at a minimal 500 areas/partitions and 1000 control points - Vendor is responsible for the configuration and integration of the proposed components. Additionally, please breakdown your estimate to include individual costs for the following information in your White Paper: - System design costs - Software/licensing costs - Reader costs - Panel costs - Installation costs - Your system's ability to integrate with a DVRS system - Your system's ability to coordinate separate campuses - Whether or not your system is HSPD-12 compliant/certified through GSA - Whether or not your system has a Visitor Access capability - Whether or not you can create an enterprise system between the two facilities We ask that you respond to our request by 26 February 2010. If you have any questions regarding our request please direct them to Jules Tchoujan, Contracting Officer, at 202-874-1182.
