- Description
- This notice is for multiple year Landscape maintenance service contract for the Crescent Ranger District of the Deschutes National Forest. The project will be for one base year plus 4 optional years. Contractor shall furnish all necessary labor, supervision, materials, supplies, and equipment to perform landscape maintenance services on grounds totaling an estimated 69,650 square feet at the Crescent Ranger District. The buildings and grounds are occupied by Government officials and employees and visited daily by many persons who are required to conduct business with the Government. The intent of the contract is to provide landscape maintenance service and to furnish an attractive, well maintained appearance surrounding the buildings and adjacent areas. The effective period of work is generally April 1 thru October 31 each year but may vary due to weather. Partial months will be pro-rated for payment. SPECIAL NOTE: The lawns and planting beds within the contract area are expected to undergo reconstruction over the next 1-5 years to reduce water use and overall maintenance. Quantities of all Bid Items are subject to change dependant on the availability of funds to accomplish the proposed changes. Areas under construction will be pro-rated to reflect work added or deleted during construction, and quantities within individual plots will be adjusted accordingly following the completion of each phase of work. The majority of changes will be the conversion of lawns to planting beds. An area of less than 3% of the total contract area may be converted to rock that requires no maintenance and will be deleted from the contract area when completed. Solicitation is estimated to be uploaded in FEDBIZOPS February 18, 2010, with quotes due Close of Business 4:30 PM, March 8, 2010. The NAIC code for this project is 561730 and is Small Business set aside. The Government will upload the entire solicitation on or about February 18, 2010 with quotes due March 8, 2010.
