- The National Park Service intends to issue a solicitation as a Request for Quotation Q5140100066 for a firm-fixed price contract for replacement of existing water lines providing drinking water for Otter Creek Campground (Amherst County) on the Blue Ridge Parkway in Virginia and replace existing sewer line and septic system at the Montebello Maintenance area near, Vesuvius (Nelson County), Virginia. The solicitation Q5140100066 will be available at the Department of Interior's National Business Center website at http://ideasec.nbc.gov on or about February 18, 2010. Project Description: The contractor shall furnish all necessary supervision, personnel, equipment, transportation, materials and incidentals required to complete all work. The work includes, but is not limited to, new water lines, meter boxes and back flow prevention devices at each comfort station, RV connection and RV dumpstation at Otter Creek Campground. The work also includes, but is not limited to, abandoning the existing manhole, installing a larger septic tank and effluent line at Montebello maintenance area. A new septic tank and effluent line will be installed to the larger septic tank currently serving other Parkway buildings. PAPER COPIES OF THIS SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED AND TELEPHONE REQUESTS OR FAX REQUESTS FOR THIS SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Responses will be due 30 days following issuance of solicitation. The NAICS code for this project is 237110 and the small business size standard is $33.5 M. Per FAR Part 19, Small Business Competitive Demonstration Program, this project is open to all responsible sources. Contract duration is 180 days following notice to proceed. In accordance with FAR Subpart 36.204, the price range for this contract is between $25,000 and 100,000.00. This procurement is a Request for Quotation and is subject to the provisions of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures and FAR Part 36, Construction Contracts. Registrations: Offerors wishing to receive electronic notification of changes will need to register to receive notification of this specific solicitation at http://ideasec.nbc.gov; and must also register on the Central Contractor Registration website at http://www.ccr.gov in order to receive contracts with the Federal Government.
