Description
AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT (ARRA) SCOPE OF WORK PROJECT 640AO-09-148FCA EXPAND STORM DRAINS - PHASE I DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The contractor shall provide all plant, labor, tools, materials, equipment, transportation and supervision necessary to upgrade and expand storm water drainage system in the various areas in the campus of VA, PAHCS, Menlo Park Division, San Mateo County, CA. Work includes but is not limited to the following: "Demolition of drywells, catch basins, storm drain pipes, asphalt paving, concrete walkways, curbs and gutters "Clearing and grubbing of ground covers and vegetations "Excavating of trench for the installation of new drainage piping system "Hauling and legally disposing off site demolished debris "Installing new storm drain pipes "Installing new manholes "Installing new curb inlets, catch and settling basins etc. "Backfilling and compacting "Repairing roadways and walkways "Repairing curbs and gutters "Installing new landscaping complete with irrigation system "Replacing ground covers, shrubs, trees, sods, mulch, etc. "The contractor shall provide underground utility survey to reveal the undocumented various underground utilities as water lines and valves, sewer lines, steam lines, gas lines, high voltage duct banks, irrigation pipes and control wires, electrical light conduits and wires, signal/telephone conduit and wires, etc. The contractor's work schedule shall include detail closure and interim traffic circulation plan coordinated with the COTR and V.A. Police. Earthmoving, excavating, installing of pipes and paving work may be required to be completed during weekends or after hours as required for patient care. All work shall be completed in accordance with the Contract Terms, Conditions, Drawings and Specifications for Project 640AO-09-148FCA, Expand Storm Drains, Phase 1, in the V.A. Menlo Park Division of the V.A. Palo Health Care System (PAHCS), to be included in the Solicitation and any resultant Contract.
