- RECOVERY The National Park Service has identified a requirment to install new electrical conductor through existing condut along Hurrican Ridge Road within Olympic National Park, Port Angeles, WA. The solicitation will be issued electronically on the Department of Interiors (DOI) National Business Center (NBC) web site at http://ideasec.nbc.gov. Paper copies of this solicitation will not be made available. Interested contractors desiring to conduct business with the DOI are required to register at the web site. Contractors wishing to receive electronic notification of changes will need to register to receive notification of changes to this specific solicitation once issued. The service is provided for convenience only and does not serve as a guarantee of notification. Subscribers to this service are ultimately responsible for reviewing the web site for all inforamtion relevant to this solicitation. Plan holders will be required to visit this web site periodically to check for amendments and other changes to the procurement documents. No other notificaitons will be sent. This procurement will be advertised under Full and Open competition. In accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Part 36, the estimated magnitude of construction is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The North American Industry Classificaiton System (NAICS) code is 238210. TAS: 14 1041- Construciton, Roads, AML project (except DM) PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The work under this contract includes, but is not limited to the following:Extending approximately 70,000 linear feet of new electrical conductor through existing conduit along the Hurricane Ridge Road. The work will extend from approximately the National Park Service (NPS) fee/entry station to the Hurricane Ridge Visitor's Center. New conduit will be trenched and placed in the vicinity of the Fee Booth and near the Visitor Center in the upper parking area. Other associated elements and requirements are included in the work as specifically indicated with the specifications. The contractor will be required to work closely with both the NPS and the Clallam County Public Utility District to provide the most appropriate system meeting the needs of the NPS. This announcement does not constitute the solicitation. We anticipate the solicitation will be posted on or after February 18, 2010. All questions pertaining to this announcement MUST BE SUBMITTED IN WRITING by e:mail to Kim_Glass@nps.gov or faxed to 415/561-4795. The Government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation.
