- This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at https://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Naval Sea Systems Command. Note: The Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newport, Rhode Island is NOT accepting quotes or proposals via submission through NECO. The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division, Newport intends to award on a sole source basis a Firm Fixed Price type contract to Product Planning Inc., 2125 Oxford Road, Des Plaines, IL for the following: CLIN 0001: (1 ea) New ECV Valve, P/N 10E-01; CLIN 0002 (2 ea) Overhaul ECV Valve. Product Planning is the OEM for these hydraulic valves and component parts. They are the only known source because the drawings and parts are proprietary to Product Planning Inc.and must adhere to present form, fit and function. This procurement is 100% set-aside for small business under NAICS 333999, size standard is 500 employees. The proposed contract action is for supplies and services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A Determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Additional details will be provided upon issue of RFQ N66604-10-Q-1296, which, in accordance with FAR 5.203(a) & (h). is anticipated to be on or about 01/29/2010.
