Description

STEEL REPAIRS, TSES THIS IS THE OFFICIAL PRESOLICITATION REQUEST. The Request For Proposal for this requirement is attached. RFP issue: Jan. 23, 2010 Site Visit: Jan. 27, 2010 RFP close: Feb. 9, 2010 AWARD: on/about Feb. 16, 2010 START: on/about Feb. 16, 2010 The T.S. Empire State is a U.S. Government owned training ship provided to the State University of New York Maritime Academy for the purpose of training young men and women for a career in the U.S. Maritime Industry. It is the intention of the Maritime Administration to make the necessary STEEL REPAIRS, Shaft Alley, MSC Structural; Air Ejector Reducer Spool Piece Fabrication & Air Ejector Repair; Mooring Rolling & Fixed Chock Repairs; Aft Hawser Compartment Steel Repairs; etc., as listed in the Statement of work. All repairs will be witnessed by and completed to the satisfaction of the attending ABS Surveyor and COTR. Repairs will be accomplished at the vessels lay berth.
