Description: THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO CONTRACTORS UNDER GENERAL SERVICES ADMINISTRATION, GSA FEDERAL SUPPLY SCHEDULE 66 - Scientific Equipment and Services The National Institute of Health in Bethesda, MD intends to procure a C1000 Thermal Cycler with the following features and performance: 384-well, 96-well fast, 48/48 fast dual-block formats, and CFX 96 real-time optical module assemblies compatibility; ability to run two independent protocols; graphical, text-based, and automatic programming options; ability to autogenerate custom temperature with protocol Autowriter; USB enable; ability to network three additional S1000 thermal cyclers; ability to accept high-and low- profile microplates; PC remotely control using USB connectivity and C1000 Manager onboard Software; storage up to 1000 typical thermal cycling protocols and unlimited memory expansion with USB flash drive; internal integrated power supply; optional security logins and protected folders options; graphical real-time temperature display; calculator for gradient protocols with up to a 24°C range differential; thermal range between 0°C and 100°C; ramping speed of up to 5°C/sec with an average of 2.3°C/sec; sample block thermal accuracy of ±0.2°C (NIST-traceable) after 10 sec of arrival at 90°C and temperature homogeneity of ±0.4°C within 10 sec of arrival at 90°C; and gradient range of 30-100°C, with a 24°C differential. This procurement will be firm-fixed price and will be competed under pre-existing Multiple Award Federal Supply Schedule contracts. A competitive solicitation (RFQ) will be issued via GSA eBuy. This will be funded in whole by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. Change was made to add RECOVERY to the title 1/15/10 that was not noted in the original posting.
