Description
This Amendment Notice Number: 0001 supersedes the original Market Survey. Thelast sentence of the third paragraph has been removed, as it was included inerror. The US Army ARDEC is conducting a market survey to identify potential sourcesfor Multi-Variable Armament Systems for Manned and Unmanned Vehicles who arealso knowledgeable of Remote Weapon Systems (RWS). All interested firms shallsubmit their technical capabilities (10 pages maximum) for the above toinclude the following at no cost to the Government. Costs for proposalsubmissions are strictly the responsibility of the interested contractor. Todate, these systems are heavy, expensive and the gun systems of these RWS arenot robotized. The ammunition is part of the RWS which adds a lot of weight tothe RWS and therefore expensive heavy large motors are needed. VehicleIntegration Kits are required for installation of each RWS onto the vehicleplatform. This effort will allow for the manufacture of prototype newarmaments and RWS components that solve the present RWS problems such asmaterial degradation, weight requirements, vehicle integration, processing &fabrication, jamming, ammo storage & loading. This effort also includes themanufacture of munition components, projectiles that may transform intoUnmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) projectiles, platforms in support of lightweightand/or advanced systems or subsystems for manned and unmanned vehicles. Contractor must be experienced with fabricating, machining, and working withvarious types of metals, fabricating prototypes, and manufacturing of munitioncomponents. Contractor shall provide consultant(s) support as needed whichincludes knowledge of advanced materials, munition items, and manned/unmannedvehicles. Contractor shall have the capability to develop design concepts andprovide manufacturing insight for product improvement, integration, upgrades, and producibility analysis (such as Vehicle Integration Kit development). Interested firms, who feel they are capable, are invited to indicate theirinterest by providing to the U.S. Army a brief summary of their companyscapabilities including a brief description of training units and verificationof existing prototype/commercially available units. These technicalcapabilities shall be submitted ELECTRONICALLY ONLY, and within fifteen (15)days from the date of this notice to Matthew Endrizzi (email address:matt.endrizzi@us.army.mil). Please note that telephone inquiries will not beaccepted. Please also provide the companys name, address, point of contactwith telephone number and email address, size of business (small/large) andteam members. This is a market survey for information only. It does notconstitute a RFP and is not to be construed as a commitment by theGovernment. If a formal solicitation is generated at a later date, asolicitation notice will be published. No award will be made as a result ofthis market survey. The Government is not obligated to notify respondents ofthe results of this survey.
