- RECOVERY - THIS CONTRACTING ACTION IS BEING OFFERED UNDER THE AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT (ARRA). Photovoltaic and Energy Systems, Arapahoe National Wildlife Refuge, Jackson County, Colorado, FFS Project Number: R6JA, TAS::14 1610::TAS THIS CONTRACTING ACTION IS OFFERED FULL AND OPEN WITH A HUBZONE PREFERENCE (SEE FAR 19.1307). WORK UNDER THIS CONTRACT: A. Provide all equipment, labor, and material required to install a grid tied 8.4 KW roof mounted Photovoltaic (PV) System at the Arapaho NWR Headquarters Building. B. Provide all equipment, labor, and material required to install a grid tied 5.25KW roof mounted PV System, installation of two solar air heaters, electrical service upgrade, high efficiency electric water heater, and electric thermal storage heating system at the Arapaho NWR Shop Building. C. Provide all equipment, labor, and material required to install a grid tied 1.75KW ground mounted PV System, high efficiency electric hot water heater, and electric thermal storage heating system at the Arapaho NWR Residence 156 D. Provide all equipment, labor, and material required to install a grid tied 1.75KW ground mounted PV System at the Arapaho NWR Bunkhouse. E. Contractor shall obtain approval of proposed equipment by Government and Mountain Parks Electric, Inc. prior to installation. LOCATION AND INSPECTION OF SITE A. The site of the work is at Arapaho National Wildlife Refuge which is located approximately 10 miles south of Walden, Colorado. B. Prospective bidders are encouraged to visit the work area in order to examine the existing site conditions. Arrangements can be made to inspect the site by contacting the Project Leader, at Arapaho NWR, 953 Jackson County Rd 32, Walden, CO 80480-0457, phone (970) 723-8202. Failure to visit the site will not relieve Contractor of responsibility to fully execute the requirements described herein. GENERAL INFORMATION The estimated magnitude of construction is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00. The total performance period is 120 calendar days from Notice to Proceed. This acquisition is offered Full and Open with a 10% Hubzone Preference. The NAICS code is 237130, Power and Communication Line and Related Structures Construction, and the size standard is $33.5 Million. The solicitation package is anticipated to be available electronically on/or about January 29, 2010 with an anticipated closing date of March 1, 2010. Copies of the Request for Proposal, specifications and drawings can be obtained at http://www.fedbizopps.gov once available for issuance.
