Description
The 96th Contracting Squadron, Eglin AFB, Florida intends to solicit and award a firm-fixed price contract for a 14 in Micro D Plug to Micro D Plug, 9 pin assembly. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6 and Subpart 13.5, As supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. The announcement number is F1TBBB9336A002. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 335931 with a size standard of 500 employees. This combined synopsis/solicitations falls under full and open competition. The technical requirements on the item are as follows: The required cable is a 14 inch micro D plug to micro D plug, 9 pin assembly. Only 5 wires will be wired to ensure the smallest volume of space is used. One end shall be filtered with an EMI backshell and will be wired to ensure the smallest volume of space is used. One end shall be filtered with an EMI backshell and will have a different color heat shrink than the other to identify it. A shielded braid will run the entire length and be made as flat as possible to once again minimize space. Mating connectors within this system are manufactured by Glenair. The cables must mate perfectly. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 2005-38.
